The SKYACTIV®-Drive Transmission is not only extremely important in improving fuel economy, it also plays a major role in driving performance. Combining the best features of all transmissions, as well as a control module "brain" made that possible.
The SKYACTIV®-Body and SKYACTIV®-ChassisExcess weight isn't just a problem for fitness instructors; too many pounds can impede fuel economy and driving performance. By exercising our engineering muscles, we were able to slim down our SKYACTIV® Body and Chassis, but still improve driving attributes and efficiency.
SKYACTIV®-MT six-speed manual transmission With its compact size and enhanced gear structure, is smaller and lighter. It was also engineered to deliver the light and crisp shift feel of the Mazda MX-5 Miata.
2012 Mazda3 with SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY can travel more than 500 highway miles on a single fill-up*, meaning the exhilarating performance goes on and on.
